Shipping in the days of sail

Priwall (Blohm+Voss, 1917) made a record rounding of the Horn (50° south in the Atlantic to 50° south in the Pacific) in 5 days 14 hrs. She carried the last nitrate cargo to Europe by sail in 1939.

Under sail! human and wind-powered only. That is how it used to be done.
